Bud Winzen was Berto Garcia's father-in-law. He was born and raised in South St. Louis City. He graduated from St. Mary's High School, was an Army veteran, a successful businessman, and a loving father and husband. He accomplished much in his life, considered himself extremely lucky, and was very appreciative of the opportunities he was given. He was most proud of his extended family including seven children and ten grandchildren, and long list of friends because he never met a stranger. He was always available for and willing to provide support or tough love when you needed it most. He never missed an opportunity to pull you aside and tell you how proud he was of you. We suspect you all have a Bud Winzen in your life, a perfectly imperfect human that you can't imagine living without. Though we lost Bud too soon, we will never forget his love, kindness, support, and encouragement. When you visit Bud's, you will find a painting of him watching over us, front and center above the main bar. Let's toast to Bud!

You will have to visit us and find out for yourself! We serve 16” pies cut into 6 large slices. We are proud to serve some of the best pizza you'll find on the 3800 block of S. Kingshighway!

Let's start by saying we are not a gluten-free restaurant. We do not have a gluten-free kitchen and cannot guarantee the gluten-free preparation of your meal. There is always a chance of cross contamination. That said, we have a gluten-less crust made in-house from scratch with gluten-free ingredients and most of our remaining menu items can be modified to include only gluten-free ingredients. Please talk to your server or the manager on duty for more details.

Though we love our pets (and we have many), they are not allowed at Buds. Good thing the Golden Hoosier's dog friendly patio is only a block away!

We do not have outdoor seating, but we do have a warm hug of an establishment indoors no matter what the temps are outside. If you must dine al fresco, please visit the Golden Hooser's wonderful state park inspired patio, only one block away.

There is parking available in the lot behind Bud's, plus street parking throughout the neighborhood.

We are a first-come, first-served establishment. We have a wonderful bar staff at the ready with your favorite beverage if there is ever a wait. If you'd like to call ahead, please do. We will do our best to accommodate your party.

We've purpose built a dedicated carry-out and delivery entrance separate from the restaurant to help get you get in-and-out, quickly. Through our website you can order take-out/pick-up or access GrubHub, DoorDash and UberEats for delivery.
